Why Vote Yes

As someone who lives in Montgomery County, you know Sinclair provides valuable, affordable college education and job training. More than 80% of Sinclair graduates live in our area. Today, when we need college to compete, Sinclair’s replacement levy of 2.5 and increase of 0.7 mills for ten years is vital to:

Keep tuition affordable for county residents. Since 1998, when the levy was last approved, over 90,000 different county residents have attended Sinclair.

Sustain 170+ programs preparing students for universities and growing careers in health care, information technology, engineering, business, safety and more.

• Guarantee flexible career training and up-to-date technology so adults and employers learn job skills to compete.

• Maintain the Dayton campus and suburban learning centers. By law, county levy dollars are used only in Montgomery County.

• Continue a lifeline for working adults and the 20% of all of the county’s high school graduates who attend Sinclair.

• Continue the only local support and add $3.50/mo. per $100,000 of property to keep Sinclair strong and affordable.

Provide 20% of Sinclair funding. If the issue fails educational programs and services must be cut, and future tuition increased.

Sinclair is accountable, with perfect financial audits. Enrollment grew 25% to over 31,000 annually while state support per student dropped since the last levy.

Sinclair is vital for our county’s students, families, workforce and employers. The election is March 4. You can vote by mail or in person starting in early February.

If you live in Montgomery County, then continue your support.
